Abstract
Pulmonary edema is the accumulation of fluid in the tissues and airspaces of the lungs and may be cardiogenic or noncardiogenic. Pulmonary edema secondary to left ventricular failure is one of the more common problems encountered in clinical medicine. Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a clinical diagnosis with a constellation of findings, some of which are radiographic. This chapter focuses on the radiographic appearance of cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
