Abstract

We review applications of the QCD factorization theorems for diffractive DIS processes. We argue that DIS exclusive processes provide a number of effective ways of probing light-cone meson wave functions, and comparing wave functions of various baryons. Connection between the factorization theorem for hard inclusive diffraction processes in DIS and phenomenon of nuclear shadowing is explained. Strong nuclear shadowing is predicted as well as existence of high energy color transparency at x ∼ 10-2 followed by the color opacity for x ≤ 10-3.
