Abstract
Expert opinions are sought in order to elicit pairwise comparison values of the decision elements in Analytic flierarchy Process (AHP). In this article, we propose an alternative elicitation method. These new elicitations are in terms of a few selected quantiles of the comparison values. A statistical model is provided for processing these elicited values. The advantage of this approach is that one can generate as many pairwise comparison matrices of the decision elements as desired. This allows one to determine whether differences in the final priority scores of the alternatives are statistically significant.
