Abstract

Adsorption isotherms of H₂ and ⁴He on Rb measured with a quartz microbalance are presented. They clearly show sharp prewetting transitions. For H₂ on Rb a wetting temperature T_W=17.89±0.04K is found. ⁴He isotherms below the λ point show the characteristic frequency drop due to superfluid onset.
