Abstract
A Co2(OH)3Cl catalyst was prepared by deep eutectic solvent and applied to decompose p-nitrophenol (4-NP) by O3. Within 30 min, the removal efficiency of Co2(OH)3Cl catalyst for 4-NP reached 92.9%, which is much higher than that of Co(OH)2 or Co3O4 catalyst. In a wide pH range (3–11), the catalyst showed good catalytic performance for 4-NP removal. The production of highly active free radicals such as 1O2 and O2[rad]− is conducive to efficient degradation. Furthermore, the catalyst showed good stability and recoverability.
