Abstract

An overview is given on the direct real-time tracking of the motion of a single domain wall in lithium tantalate and lithium niobate. The measurement of domain wall mobilities and energies associated with the walls is discussed. For demonstration purposes, two frames from the video of growing 180° domains in congruent LiTaO3 crystals are presented.
