Abstract
Photorefractive (PR) effect is a complex phenomenon, which could be observed in a material possessing both photoconductivity and electro-optic response. Recently, PR effect has been demonstrated in a variety of organic materials which possess such advantages as low cost, easy processing, and structural flexibility. Some of the recent advances in fully functionalized PR materials based on organic glasses, oligomers and polymers are discussed.
