Abstract

Multiobjective Evolutionary Algorithms (MOEAs) have provided engineers with powerful new tools for rapidly designing highly complex electromagnetic systems. This paper serves as a brief tutorial on optimization in electromagnetics (EM), and also surveys three recent contributions to the field of MOEAs, each of which have expanded the space of optimizable designs in different ways.
