Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the reflection characteristics of an artificially synthesized absorbing medium by using the finite difference time domain (FDTD) technique. We analyze the sensitivity of the reflection of this medium to material parameters. Results in time and frequency domains demonstrate that this kind of artificially synthesized medium has excellent electromagnetic absorbing properties.
