The Canadian Military History project was part of a larger project undertaken jointly by WLU's library and university press; the project applied for and received a grant from Canada's Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. The journal's issues had been digitized previously. From the start of the project to when they unveiled a subscribable online journal took about six months.
