Abstract
Resonant interactioin theory is reviewed in a variety of dynamic settings, with particular emphasis on underlying approximations. The elementary interactions of three-and four-wave resonances and deterministic and stochastic models for wavefields composed of broad or narrow wave spectra interacting in multiple and coupled sets are considered. Resonant interaction experiments are reviewed in a variety of dynamic settings. Comparisons between theory and experimental results are also included. (D.W.Taylor)
