Abstract

The design of the presentation slide that rely on phrase headlines and bulleted lists is analyzed. It is observed that the well designed slides increase the retention of the audience from 10 percent to 50 percent for both hearing and seeing the material. The slide design becomes important for the success of the presentation when the slides are choosen to communicate the images and results of a scientific presentation. The design includes both the slide's format and what the information the presenter decides to place on the slides.
