Abstract
This chapter provides a guide to pediatric rheumatology, aiming to enhance your understanding and support for students with rheumatic conditions. It covers the fundamentals of 3 diseases including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematous, and juvenile dermatomyositis. Special attention is given to the unique challenges faced by children and adolescents with rheumatic diseases in the school setting such as mitigating the impact of chronic diseases, challenges with mobility, managing pain, and triaging medication side effects.
