Abstract
This paper reports the study on the influence of different side groups on the ability of a cyclic phosphazene to undergo polymerization rather than ring expansion or side group reactions. The objective was to design a system in which a fully organo-substituted phosphazene cyclic trimer or tetramer would polymerize directly to a high polymer, thus avoiding the need for a macromolecular substitution at the end of the process.
