Abstract

This paper presents an intelligent software architecture designed to facilitate the creation and implementation of continuous-time mathematical simulations in a large-scale application framework. The architecture provides variable and data storage and maintenance, implementation of integration routines for simultaneous integration of all states, and ensures that the system simulation represents a coherent and consistent environment. This architecture attempts to redirect the developer's focus to remain design-centered and avoid an implementation-centered focus shift that often occurs during implementation of dynamic systems in a large-scale environment. To this end, the architecture relieves the workload on the developer by taking on the many of the implementation details and by relaxing constraints on the developer.
