Abstract

The electromagnetic scattering response of an infinitely-long cylinder made of a general linear bianisotropic material is obtained using a long-wavelength approximation. The results obtained apply when the cross-sectional linear dimensions of the cylinder are electrically small, the constitutive dyadics are arbitrary and the cross-sectional shape is convex.
