Abstract
We study the limit of many small mutations for a model of population dynamics. The population is structured by phenological traits and is spatially inhomogeneous. The various sub-populations compete for the same nutrient which diffuses through the spatial environment, with the possibility of creating fast time oscillations in the dynamics. We control those oscillations by the stability of an auxiliary system (without mutations) which guides the dynamics over fast time scales.
