Semi/exclusive meson production at EIC energies

Abstract

We discuss interplay of the leading twist and higher twist effects in vector meson production in DIS, kinematics which is necessary to study nucleon GPDs. It is explained that the DGLAP evolution of dipole - parton elastic amplitude is suppressed in large t rapidity gap processes with leading J /psi allowing to explain the recent HERA observations. This effect may mimic effect of softening of t-dependence of the GPDs with decrease of x. A pattern of the energy dependence of the t-slope for the hard amplitude with non-vacuum exchange in t-channel is suggested. It could be studied in a novel class of 2 → 3 hard processes which can also probe dynamics of the large angle 2 → 2 processes as well as various hadrons and photon.
