N2 - Intergenerational Contact Zones (ICZ) are a relatively recent concept pertaining to spaces and the opportunities they provide for interaction between generations. This paper puts forward a series of validated criteria with which to assess the feasibility of intergenerational spaces that could potentially be designated ICZ. To develop these validated criteria, a consensus-building process following the Delphi method was carried out. This approach minimizes uncertainty and aids the decision-making of the participants, who in this case were 11 international experts. Statistical procedures were used to analyze quantitative information gathered in the process to ensure that the combination of assessments resulted in a unified and mutually accepted set of criteria. The 16 criteria presented herein do not constitute a closed list but rather a proposal based on expert consensus that it is consistent with the different dimensions explored. Overall, these criteria can help to advance ICZ applications and conceptual clarity.
