title = "Shock wave generated megahertz radiation of atmosphere",
abstract = "Based on intuitive reasoning and a simple mathematical model, it is shown that the radio frequency electromagnetic radiation in 1-2-MHz range is generated during the propagation of a directed strong shock wave in air. It is due to the radiation from free electrons (which are produced by the shock wave) in the magnetic field of the earth. The possibility of detection of this radiation is discussed.",
