Abstract

The (H2)20- and (H2O)21- clusters were studied to understand the electron solvation phenomena. In addition to binding energy calculations, an attempt was also made to determine whether the electronic charge get evenly distributed among all the molecules in the cluster or do certain molecules in the cluster get a larger share of the negative charge. The resultant data were analyzed in detail.
