Spectral Density Function of Optical CPFSK Signals in the Presence of Laser Phase Noise

    Abstract

    Closed analytic expressions are derived for the power spectral density of optical CPFSK signals in the presence of laser phase noise. The spectrum takes a unified formula whether the modulation index is an integer or not. The expressions are useful for the design and analysis of optical communication system using CPFSK modulation.
