Speed of sound in n-amyl alcohol as a function of temperature and pressure

    Abstract

    An empirical equation relating sound velocity to temperature and pressure is given for n-amyl alcohol together with the coefficients for the equation. The change in velocity with the addition of CH2 groups is shown for five primary alcohols.
