Abstract
The progress report of Students Project Involving Rocket Investigation Techniques (SPIRIT) II is presented. The SPIRIT projects are designed to provide a supportive environment for students to demonstrate newly acquired skills and learn about themselves. Sounding rockets present a challenging and unforgiving engineering environment for unexperienced students. The roles of student leadership and social cohesion are vitally important for the completion of a reliable payload.
