Stable, strongly attractive, two-state mixture of lithium fermions in an optical trap

Abstract

An all-optical trap was used to confine a strongly attractive two-state mixture of lithium fermions. The effective elastic cross section was determined from the rate of evaporation from the trap. With the application of small magnetic field, the mixture is found stable against inelastic delay.
