Abstract
Step 9: Managing Opposition Inside and Outside the Organization Organizational change can be hard and adding in the concept of trying to implement a social change effort makes it even more complicated. What happens when the members of the organization does not agree with the change, what happens when customers or clients are firmly opposed to social change efforts? This chapter seeks to provide support and understanding for how to succeed in dealing with external and internal opposition using OD methods, conversation, and determination.
