Abstract

Computerized tomographic (CT) recognition has been combined successfully with Stereotactic precision in the diagnosis and treatment of small, previously undetectable, brain lesions. An unsuspected deep brain abscess was biopsied and evacuated using a Stereotactic frame specially constructed for the CT scanner. This technology has expanded the therapeutic usefulness of computerized tomography.
