Abstract
A stochastic model of infiltration from a perched ephemeral stream to a phreatic aquifer is developed using spectral representation theory to solve the resulting flow equation. The theoretical analysis yields equations relating the spectra of water level and infiltration from the stream. The theory is applied in the Roswell basin, a semiarid area in New Mexico.- from Authors
