Abstract

The study of a two-dimensional photonic crystal (PC) for analyzing the light transmission through a strain-tunable and 90° bended waveguide was presented. The propagation of light was studied by splitting the doubly degenerate defect state of a symmetrically distorted lattice. In regard with it, the tuning of the resonance coupled photon modes by the lattice symmetry and magnitude of lattice distortion was also studied.
