Abstract

The CO2 emission in atmosphere results in global climates warm, reduction of CO2 emission is growing concern of many countries. The geological storage of CO2 is effective method to reduce CO2 emission. Because coal seam has strong absorption capacity for CO2,the coal seam can be used as CO2 geological storage reservoirs, and coal seam has such characteristics that coal seam is preference for CO2 absorption and postponement for CH4 absorption, CO2 injection into coal seam can enhanced coal bed methane recovery, CO2 -ECBM, because CO2 and CH4 compete and absorb in coal seam, CO2 displace CH4, hence coal bed methane can be obtained by The geological storage of CO2 in coal seam, CH4 is a energy generated by methane from CO2 injection into coal seam, CO2 injection into coal seam can not only reduce CO2 emission and but also enhance coal bed methane recovery, that is important to environment protection and energy sustainable development.
