Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether ultrasonic micro molding (USM) is a viable alternative to micro injection molding. Preliminary results revealed inconsistencies in the process. This study is designed to isolate variables within the machine and process that affect part net shape consistency. This study describes the importance of pellet shape and size.
