Abstract

THE CALPHAD GLOBAL 2021 conference was held virtually in June 2021. We had 385 regular attendees and 121 student attendees. The activities in CALPHAD GLOBAL 2021 included eight plenary talks, 108 student posters, and one software workshop. The topics covered during the conference were gathered in nine categories: Ab-initio (first principles) Predictions; Thermodynamic Modeling; CALPHAD Assessments and Database Development; Modeling of Diffusion and Phase Transformations; Software Development; Experimental Phase Equilibria, Thermodynamics and Kinetics; CALPHAD Applications in Materials Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Recycling, Disposal; CALPHAD Applications in industrial processes (energy production, joining and soldering); CALPHAD Applications in Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Biology.
