Abstract

The effect of changing the solvent surface concentration on the initial rate of solvent removal from solvent-coated polymer films is investigated. An analytical perturbation solution is developed for the nonlinear problem, and predictions are made for different surface concentrations and different diffusivity-concentration dependencies.
