Abstract
This chapter presents five case studies for pancreatic cancer. It discusses on the information about the stages and prognosis of a computed tomographic (CT) scan showing a 3 cm hypoattenuating pancreatic head mass with a tumor-portal vein interface measuring 270°. The superior mesenteric vein (SMV) appears patent. The tumor also abuts the hepatic artery at the level of the gastroduodenal artery(GDA). Several clinical staging systems exist for pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The chapter discusses about a 2.1 cm hypodense mass in the uncinate process of the pancreas and a bilirubin level of 13.8 mg/dl. It also discusses about a bilirubin of 10 mg/dl and a CT scan showing a hypodense pancreatic head mass causing short-segment portal vein-SMV occlusion just below the splenic vein junction. The chapter discusses multiple question and answers for the specified disease.
