Abstract

This research explores the pivotal role of big data analytics (BDA) in fostering supply chain survivability within the context of Industry 4.0. Supply chain survivability improves the ability to be more flexible (adaptive, agile, and responsible) and withstand long-term disruptions. By synthesizing insights from interviews with industry executives and a comprehensive review of pre- and post-COVID literature, this study unveils the transformative potential of BDA in optimizing operations, enhancing resilience, and driving innovation across diverse sectors. The findings underscore the significance of cultivating robust BDA capabilities, aligning organizational culture, and embracing the symbiotic relationship between resilience and viability. Furthermore, the research proposes a novel framework, using Google analytics that encapsulates the intricate interplay between BDA, Industry 4.0 technologies, Generative AI and the critical components underpinning supply chain survivability.
