Abstract
Hilar cholangiocarcinoma (Klatskin's tumor) is a rare cancer originating in the biliary epithelium and involving the bifurcation of the common bile duct into the right and left hepatic ducts. Its concomitant occurrence with gallbladder cancer is rarer still. The case described here provides a model for a discussion of the pathogenesis, diagnostic work-up, and current treatment of cholangiocarcinoma.
