Abstract

This paper introduces the synthesis and characterization of a promising low-k material, organic hollow particles. Organic hollow particles have been synthesized with styrene as the precursor by plasma-assisted method. Particle size was controlled by adjusting the concentration of the styrene and the operating pressure. The particle size ranges from 200 nm to 1 μn. Particles were characterized with TEM, FT-IR, XPS, and TGA instruments.
