Abstract

Ultrafine nearly sperical particles of CoFe204 were prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions. These ferrite particles were found to be superparamagnetic with a narrow particle size distribution in the range 10.0-40.0 nm. The hydrothermal ferrite powders could be sintered to almost theoretical density with little or no intergranular porosity.
