Abstract
A sol-gel method of preparing high-temperature superconductor, Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x, was developed. The superconducting phase was formed at temperatures as low as 850°C. Pellets sintered from these sol-gel powders exhibited zero resistivity at Tc≈67 K.
