Abstract

We present the case of a patient who was referred for electrophysiological evaluation and transcatheter ablation of a paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. In the electrophysiological study a typical atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia was induced that developed a 2:1 atrioventricular block and transiently left and right bundle branch block. We analyze the differential diagnoses and the electrophysiological mechanisms involved in the genesis of these conduction disorders.
