Abstract
The ability to synthesize polypeptides that mimic natural proteins enables new opportunities for designing innovative smart building blocks for material science, tissue engineering, and nanomanufacturing. One of the technological challenges to fully utilize the potential of these biomimetic proteins is the ability to create desired structures across different length scales using these building blocks. In this work, an evaporation-assisted plasma lithography technique is described for template-guided self-assembling of silk-elastin like polymer (SELP). The self-assembly process at different humidities was investigated. This study has successfully demonstrated self-assembly of SELP structures with length scale down to the micron range.
