Abstract
Crowdfunding is becoming a new source of finance to develop projects, involving the crowd of Web users and increasing their active participation. In the field of renewable energy investments, crowdfunding has a tremendous potential, especially for small projects and for innovative technologies. In this chapter we introduce an unprecedented study related to 84 renewable energy projects financed with crowdfunding and aimed at exploring the determinants of the campaign success.
