Abstract

Convincing demonstrations that a specific intervention to improve family income and food supply has resulted in a prompt improvement in nutritional status are not common. This paper reports that the young children of families participating in a rural development assistance programme in four villages near Delhi for a period as short as two years had better anthropometric measurements than those not participating. -M.Amos
