Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The 2023 Orthopaedic Trauma Association's Basic Science Focus Forum featured a symposium on additive manufacturing (AM) in orthopaedics. Three experts presented on various aspects of AM: Dr. Malcolm DeBaun discussed custom 3D-printed implants for segmental bone loss, Dr. Samir Mehta explored 3D printing in education and surgical planning, and Dr. Guha Manogharan addressed challenges and opportunities in AM and hybrid manufacturing. The symposium highlighted AM's significant impact across clinical, educational, and industrial applications in orthopaedic trauma.
