Abstract
This paper reviews the classical theories of the dynamics of solid particles in a viscous flow via traditional Navier-Stokes/Stokes equations with slip or nonslip boundary conditions, and also studies a corresponding dynamical equation. The emphasis of this paper is on the explicit expressions of the slip effect at the solid-fluid boundary in the dynamics of solid particles in Stokesian fluids.
