Abstract

Te 〈001〉 fiber-textured 0.625Pb(Mg1/3Nb 2/3)03-0.325PbTiOj green ceramic was fabricated by templated grain growth (TGG) using plate-like SrTiO3 crystals by a molted salt method as the templates. The templates were aligned in the fine-grained matrix by tape casting, and templates serve as nucleation sites for epitaxial growth of the matrix phase in the sintering. In this work, the tape casting processing's influence on the templates was studied. The result demonstrates that the templates can be well aligned in matrix by tape casting processing.
