Abstract
This article explores the number of ways our academic department communicates about geography, how we as geographers tell stories about our work, and how geographic scholarship has relevance to pressing social and environmental challenges. Increasingly, our world is moderated through technologies that curate content directly into our phones and other devices; however, our department has found that a blend of traditional and contemporary strategies can be impactful in achieving our goals. This article examines emerging trends in communication and engagement to support a broader discussion within the academic discipline of geography.
