Abstract

This article describes how the University of Iowa Libraries used strategic planning techniques to move forward in the development of crucial services in an environment of complex and expanding information resources. The result of the planning effort was a five year strategic plan integrating major University-wide goals of enhanced undergraduate education, diversity, premier graduate programs and excellent faculty.
