Abstract

Thermal expansion data of the compositions belonging to the [NZP] family have been collected and systematically organised. This material has the basic formula NaZr2P3O12, and the structural formula [M′1][M″2][A2 VI] [B3 IV]O12, where M′ and M″ are interstitial sites occupied partially or fully by Na or other substituting ion(s). A or B lattice sites are occupied by Zr and P, respectively, or by possible substituting ions. The different ionic substitutions at various sites in the [NZP] structure have produced a large number of compositions.
