Abstract

The Doi-Edwards (DE) model for polymer dynamics was studied. The order parameter for the DE model was also introduced. The required 'GENERIC' properties of the new equation of motion were also demonstrated. A Smoluchowki-type equation for the full DE order parameter was derived. The DE model does, in fact, qualify as a proper dynamical model.
